Max Planck Croucher Symposium

The Max Planck Croucher Symposium is a three-day residential meeting between German and Hong Kong scientists jointly organised by the Max Planck Society and the Croucher Foundation.

The objectives are to discuss fundamental research questions across traditional subject boundaries, and to identify themes with the potential to develop collaborative efforts to address multidisciplinary issues that require synergistic expertise.

Previous symposiums covered the themes of “Molecular systems engineering sciences” in 2016 at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; “The Future of Biology” in 2018 at Castle Ringberg, Germany; and “From Matter to Life” in 2019 in Okinawa, Japan.
