Professor Dennis LO Yuk Ming is the Director of the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences, the Li Ka Shing Professor of Medicine and Professor of Chemical Pathology, and Associate Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has discovered the presence of cell-free fetal nucleic acids in the plasma of pregnant women and has developed a sensitive plasma DNA test for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Professor Lo has authored or co-authored over 290 publications in international journals and holds numerous patents in molecular diagnostics. Professor Lo is a Fellow of the Royal Society.
